Dear colleagues!
We are moving towards brighter times. Coronary restrictions are gradually being opened up, and during spring, we hope that the situation will be almost as normal again. This is good news for the Nordic Congress in June.
By the extended deadline, 31 January, we had received a large number of abstracts for workshops, symposia, oral and poster presentations. The number of participants who have signed up increases every day. So, we are optimistic in terms of both the number of participants and the scientific quality of the congress.
The latest news is that you can now sign up for a fjord cruise with dinner on Wednesday 22 June at 18-21. The number of participants is limited, so there will be a "first come, first served" basis. We therefore recommend you to sign up now.
The details of the congress program will be completed end February. We can promise you many interesting topics and presentations. The entire congress is applied for as 20 CME points, and there will be several interesting courses.
The pre-congress for young doctors and new specialists (up to 5 years after approved specialty) is nearly fully booked. Please find pre-congress information is here: https://www.ncgp2022.no/international-participants.
We are looking forward to meeting you. Join us in June!

The Nordic Congress of General Practice is an important meeting place for clinicians, researchers and administrators with an interest in general practice. We encourage CME groups to sign up, and we can give you suggestions for a customized program. We promise to create a pleasant and inspiring framework for professional replenishment, discussions and social gatherings.
The entire congress has been applied for as a course in research with 20 CME credit points, and there will also be other interesting courses. You can find a short version of the program here: https://www.ncgp2022.no/program-short-version
For all young doctors (GP trainees and new GP specialists – first 5 years after completed specialisation), a separate Pre-congress is arranged with a quality improvement workshop. Read more about the Pre-congress here: https://www.ncgp2022.no/international-participants
We want as many participants as possible to sign up early. Due to the pandemic, we have been uncertain about the possibility of arranging the congress. Now, the final decision has been made, and we would appreciate early feedback that we have made the right decision: please register now! You can still register at a reduced price (Early bird). The deadline for cancelling the registration is 15 April, in that case the registration fee (except the administration fee) will be refunded.
We look forward to meeting you!

Dear colleagues!
On Saturday 25 September, the pandemic restrictions in Norway were lifted. This bodes well for the congress next year, and we hope and believe that many will have a strong desire to come together.
The first day of the congress,
Linn O. Getz will give the Opening keynote lecture “On the edge – jumping off and flying high”. Linn is an MD and professor at the Department of Public Health and Nursing at NTNU, Norway, where she leads the local GP Research Unit. She invites us to re-think terms such as evidence-based, bio-psycho-social and holistic and argues that the GP community can learn a lot, both about the human condition and the role of the GP, from the basic natural sciences, complexity theory and narrative traditions. Watch the video greeting from Linn: Click here
Two keynote speakers, Deborah Swinglehurst and Henrik Vogt, will present and discuss the theme “The technological reshaping of general practice – hype and reality”. Deborah Swinglehurst is Professor of Primary Care at Queen Mary University of London and a GP in Suffolk, UK. Her research explores the role of social interaction, relationships and working practices in primary health care settings and she is particularly interested in ethnographic and narrative methods. See video from Deborah
Henrik Vogt is a medical doctor who has been working as a GP in Oslo, Norway. He completed his PhD in 2017, based on the General Practice Research Unit, NTNU, which examined systems medicine or precision medicine as a framework for future general practice. He is currently working with a postdoctoral project on the epistemology of personalized medicine at the Centre for Medical Ethics, University of Oslo. View Henrik's video.
The discussion between Deborah and Henrik will be moderated by Associate Professor & GP Morten Munkvik, University of Stavanger, Norway.
